v1.34: your digest counts refused leads

Since v1.34.0, each form in your submission digest says how many of its refused submissions from the last 7 days are still waiting to be recovered, and links to them.

A dark plate titled 'v1.34: your digest counts refused leads', listing a digest line for refused leads still waiting, a link that opens the Refused list filtered, and daily, weekly or monthly cadence.

FormFlow v1.34.0, released on 2026-10-05, changes what a form's section of your submission digest can say. Each form in the digest now states how many of its refused submissions from the last 7 days are still waiting to be recovered, and the line links straight to them. This post describes exactly that and nothing wider; the Changelog entry for v1.34.0 remains the record of the Release.

What the line says

The line reads, for example: “3 submissions were refused in the last 7 days — review recoverable leads.” The number counts that form's refused submissions from the last 7 days that nobody has recovered yet. It is per form, so each form in your digest carries its own count.

A refused submission is a customer-caused hard rejection that FormFlow kept as a record instead of dropping. It is not delivered, it does not become a counted submission, and it holds no uploaded file. The digest line does not change any of that; it only makes the records visible where you already read about the form.

The line is a link. It opens your Refused list filtered to that form, so you land on the records the count refers to instead of an unfiltered list.

The line itself recovers nothing. Recovery is a separate step you take from the Refused list. Recovery judges a refused submission again against the form's live configuration. If it passes, it becomes a submission, it consumes current usage, and it enters delivery. If the current settings would still refuse it, it is still refused: a payload cannot be smuggled past the settings that rejected it.

When the line appears and when it goes away

The line is not permanent, and it adds nothing to quiet forms.

  • It appears while at least one refused submission from the last 7 days is still waiting to be recovered.

  • It goes away once you recover those submissions.

  • It goes away on its own once they pass seven days.

  • A form with nothing waiting looks exactly as it did before v1.34.0.

Refusals alone never send a digest. The line rides along in a digest that was going to be sent anyway, on the cadence the form already has: each form chooses daily, weekly, monthly or off, and the team supplies the anchor day for weekly and monthly. A form set to off gets no digest, so it never shows this line.

Where it is blunt

  • The window is the 7 days before the digest is built, whatever the form's digest cadence. On a weekly or monthly digest, a refusal that is more than 7 days old when the digest goes out is not counted. If you rely on this line, a shorter cadence misses fewer refusals.

  • The count is of refused submissions waiting, not of leads that will recover. The wording says “review recoverable leads”, but Recovery judges each record again, so some may be refused again.

  • Passing seven days removes the line. The entry says nothing about what happens to the record itself, and this post does not claim anything about it.

  • The line does not explain why a submission was refused. It is a count and a link.

How to use it

When the line shows up, open the link and read the records before recovering anything. If the form's own settings caused the refusals, a Recovery against the same settings will refuse them again, so change the settings first and recover second. Recovered submissions use your current usage allowance like any other submission, which is worth knowing before you recover a large batch.

If the line never appears for a form, nothing is waiting for it. That is the intended quiet state, not a missing feature.
